Help Needed For New Mom
We have been made aware of an expectant mom (named Louisa) and her new baby boy expected Jan 19 by c section. Louisa is an international student from Ghana doing her PhD in nursing at the U of S. She has no family supports here whatsoever.
She is currently living in residence, but has no support- her husband is not able to get a visa to be with her. She currently has no furniture in her suite outside of a bed, 1 table and dining chair, and has little to no supplies for her baby. She has a car seat and a stroller.
Immediate needs prior to baby’s arrival Jan 19:
-Crib or playpen
-Warm blankets to cover carseat/stroller
-Sweaters/warm clothing for newborn
-Sleepers and onesies
-Socks/slippers for baby
-Warm receiving blankets
-Long underwear/undershirts for Louisa (size 14)
-T-shirts for mom Louisa (size 14)
-Hangers
-Tissues
-Toilet paper
-Baby wipes
-diapers

This is a place where women with young children can come to experience friendship, encouragement in faith and to pray for each other.

Forever In Motion - Mondays & Thursdays @ 10am
Free low-impact fitness classes for adults ages 50+ followed by a coffee time.
Classes focus on functional fitness, balance, strength, and flexibility.
2 Sparrows "Stitches To Share" : Wednesdays 10am-3pm
"Expressing God's love & care to those in need of warmth, comfort, or encouragement"
All are welcome to join us in creating quilted, crocheted, or knitted items to benefit local charities. Some precut quilt kits of different skill levels will be available for those desiring them. In our first 5 months, we were able to donate approximately 50 quilts to various local charities.

Membership, Baptism, and Newcomers Lunch
On January 21st (after the 3rd service), we will be hosting a Membership Class, Baptism Class, and Newcomers Lunch simultaneously. If any of these interest you, please click the corresponding links below. A light lunch will be included with all classes.
Alpha -Thursdays at 6pm beginning February 1
The Alpha course is an invitation to explore the meaning of life through the lens of the Christian faith. Over the span of a few months (meeting every Thursday), we will share a meal together and then we will look at topics like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why did Jesus die?”, “Is there more to life than this?” and many others.

Break Free is a workshop that is designed to help you understand what are some of the strongholds, barriers, or roadblocks that you may be experiencing in your faith and life with God. It is designed to help you find freedom and experience the life, joy, and fullness of what God has for us in Christ.
