Leadership at Ebenezer Youth

At Ebenezer Youth, we have a need for leaders to rise up and invest into the next generation of leaders of the church. We have needs and opportunities in various ways and capacities, check out below to see some of these opportunities:

Apprentice:

Our Ebenezer Youth Apprenticeship program aims to give those who are out of high school to have an inside view of what ministry looks like in an apprentice-type role and to discern whether or not one's vocational calling may be in Christian Ministry. An apprenticeship gives you opportunities to be invested in, learn what it means to be in ministry and dive deep into discipleship.

This commitment is 10-15 hours a week and takes place from September 1st-May 19th but can be extended into the summer. Applications for September 2023 close on August 15th, 2023.

Intern:

Our Ebenezer Internship aims to prepare someone to step into ministry after training to be equipped to be in ministry full-time.  One of those areas one can specialize in an internship is with youth. An internship with youth will aim to equip you to step into ministry full-time, aim to give you a clear sense of calling if full-time ministry is for you, and most importantly this aims to deepen your relationship with God.

This commitment is 40-50 hours a week and takes place based on the availability of the individual.

Life group leader:

If you strive by working directly with Jr or Sr youth-aged kids and seek to invest into them as a shepherd day in and day out you should consider a life group leader. A life group leader is a leader of a smaller group gathering (for example, grade 6 boys). The heart of our youth ministry is to invest deeply into relationships and give 45 minutes on any given night for life group discussion and every third week we meet only in our life groups. A youth leader will work closely with an assigned group and invest deeply into the kids as a shepherd.

This commitment is 4.5 hours a week and is asked to invest from September 1st-June 30th.

Program/ Hospitality leader:

If you strive by serving youth through delivering programming, providing hospitality, and helping the nights come together with Jr or Sr youth-aged kids you should consider being a program/hospitality leader. A program/hospitality leader is a leader responsible to make sure everything goes smoothly on a given night to supplement and make the experience of a youth an amazing experience.

This commitment is 3 hours a week and is asked to invest from September 1st-June 30th.

Food help:

If you want to be involved in a way that is less hands-on yet extremely valuable, you should consider food help. This would look like being on a rotation (anywhere from once a month-three times a year) to create the snack for our youth on a given night.

This commitment is minimal but involves a commitment to particular dates throughout the year.
