Biblical Meditation | Wes Hodgson

What does it mean to truly meditate on God's Word? Not just read it, but chew on it, let it sink from your mind into your heart, and then shape the way you live? That is the heart of biblical meditation, and it is something every follower of Jesus is called to.

Psalm 119 shows us that meditating on Scripture makes us wiser, fills us with the sweetness of God's truth, and lights the path ahead of us (Psalm 119:98-105). Like Joshua, we are called to keep God's Word on our lips day and night, not to escape life, but to live it with greater faithfulness and obedience (Joshua 1:7-8).

The most important thing we can ever meditate upon is the death and resurrection of Jesus. That truth has the power to change everything. If you missed this week's message, give it a listen and let it stir something deep in you.
